The early part of Derval’s career was in investment banking, spanning a variety of sales and business development roles in capital markets in the US.

Moving into consulting, Derval saw that clients needed to ’demystify’ strategy execution and change, while also realizing measurable benefits. In a variety of consulting assignments, she began to focus on delivering tangible benefits of change – designing and implementing Business Model 2.0.

Derval has designed and delivered large-scale transformational programmes across financial services, health and government in Ireland, UK and US. She has a wealth of experience across diverse organization cultures, and is particularly adept at organization capability development. Her collaborative approach to projects builds trust with decision-makers, coaching them to look at strategy and change in innovative ways.  Derval is committed to knowledge and skill-sharing with clients to enable them to continue to grow.

Derval is especially interested using new and innovative tools and approaches to strategy and change. Most recently, she has become proficient in the emerging, feedback-driven area of Lean Change, blending traditional approaches with the need for change acceleration and speedy results. Her work involves preparing organizations for 2020 and beyond with new business models and executable, sustainable strategies.
